Star Island Day Trip

Join us for a tranquil trip to paradise! Star Island has both beauty and 400 years of history. The Oceanic Hotel has attracted artists, writers, and poets such as Nathaniel Hawthorne and Celia Thaxter. We meet in Portsmouth at 8:30 a.m. to depart on the Challenger. After our scenic voyage, we’ll have 4 hours on the island to enjoy lunch, guided tour, walk, birdwatch, and/or just rocking in the rocking chairs. They have a library, a gift shop, kayaks to rent, and more. We return on the Thomas Leighton with a narrated tour by 5:30 p.m. This will sell out quickly so sign up early for this relaxing day of tranquility. Most people who visit the island make a promise to themselves that they will be back and after a day here, and you will find out why!
