Stars, Planets and Lights

Join Portsmouth Naval Shipyard MWR on Saturday, December 5 from 1 to 7 p.m. for a trip to the Christa McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center.

The cost to participate is $40 per person and includes all admission and transportation fees. The Christa McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is an air and space museum dedicated to New Hampshire space pioneers Christa McAuliffe (NASA's 1st teacher-in-space) and Admiral Alan Shepard (America's 1st astronaunt and Apollo XIV Commander). You will get to see a large model of the space shuttle, full sized model of the Mercury capsule, lunar exhibitions and more. This trip also includes a planetarium show.

After a quick stop for a bite to eat, we end our day in Loudon surrounded by two million twinkly LED lights at the 9th Annual Gift of Lights. Gift of Lights is a drive through event where we drive on the racetrack at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a 2.5 mile light show including the tunnel of lights and over 500 displays.
